Organisational Resilience
According to the British Standards Institute, Organisational Resilience refers to an organisation’s capacity to anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and adapt to both gradual and sudden changes or disruptions, allowing it to survive and thrive in the face of adversity. This concept is supported by three key pillars: Operational Resilience, Supply Chain Resilience, and Information Resilience.
Organisational Resilience involves actively scanning for changes and opportunities in the operating landscape, conducting research and analysis to identify potential threats and risks to the organisation, and addressing vulnerabilities within its current operating models and delivery portfolios. It’s more than simply waiting for disruptions or unexpected changes to occur; it’s about developing a forward-thinking, agile, and stable environment that supports the organisation’s ability to deliver its strategic objectives now and in the future.
We go beyond just developing response systems and instead work with our customers to create sustainable Organisational Resilience.
We achieve this by mapping the relationships and dependencies between the organisation’s strategic objectives and its operational functions, including supply chains. We also engage in proactive threat and risk identification and mitigation activities through established competencies such as information security, health safety and environment, and enterprise risk management.
Through these efforts, we can establish and support necessary improvements to address any shortfalls and ensure the organisation’s long-term success.
